A third of the way on two thirds of my current projects!
Yes, that title makes no sense on it's own. I am happy to announce that I am 30,000 words into the rough drafts of two different novels. These are my yin and yang novels. I started Grape Merriweather's story about a year ago then dropped it, then morphed it into a new novel featuring a character named Gray Day. And now, I am writing them both. I am also working on a third novel that is limping along in terms of word count.
Grape and Gray are different characters in two totally different worlds. It's interesting to write both of their stories at once because they do influence each other and share similar qualities and themes. For instance, both Grape and Gray have fathers who have passed away and brothers they love but don't understand. However, Grape's brothers is an eighth grader with a serious botany obsession and Gray's brother rules the city they live in. So, you know, there are differences.
Okay, enough celebrating, now to get back to work to get these two novel two-thirds done and to get novel number 3 in the race. :)
