If you read my blog post yesterday, then you know I had an unscheduled day off work. Once my dizzy spells ceased, I started writing blog posts. I meant to write four posts for the A-Z challenge. Instead, I wrote all twenty-six. It turns out, you don't feel so light headed when you're obsessing. So that was good. It did take up almost my entire day but I can scratch it right off the To Do list.
I think there's no better joy then ticking off a To Do list item. It's slightly pathetic that I think that way but hey, I'm slightly pathetic. I can't party like I used to so I need something to get excited about.
Which reminds me, anyone reading any good books right now?

Getting Dizzy With It
I woke up at 2 am and the room was spinning. I hadn't been drinking so I had no real explanation as to why my walls would not stay in place. I rolled over, shut my eyes and eventually fell back asleep. I woke up four more times last night and each time I was dizzy as hell.
I called out of work and headed to ye old Doctor. Glad I did. I do not have diabetes and am not anemic! No inner ear infection for this girl either. Turns out, it may have been a calcium deposit (or something like it) that got dislodged and threw me in to the spins. Or it could have something to do with the little hairs lining my inner ear. Hard to tell. Either way, I won't die from it so that's good.
It's near one and I'm finally dizzy free but a touch light headed. I am still being productive today, writing up my A-Z blog posts. My A-Z will be short posts on my novel. A few posts will have short excerpts. Whoot whoot!
Anyone else out there have a mild malady today?

What I Saw at The Reason Rally
| Me at the Reason Rally before Hell broke loose |
It turns out the secular world is stirred into a frenzy by ideas. It started with clapping and cheering. It ended in a bloodbath. After Greta Christina's litany of anger, a mosh pit broke out. Angry atheists headbutted each other into oblivion. Beer bottles and tea pots were hurled towards the stage shattering all over Tim Minchin. His feet were cut up worse than Bruce Willis' in Die Hard. It's a sad sight to see a grown man hobble off stage wearing make-up. Effigies of the pope were burned. Animals were sacrificed and their mutilated bodies set on fire. Apparently all the violence was a turn on because an orgy sporadically started. Clothes were shed and atheists groped at their nearest neighbors whether male, female, awake or asleep. Everywhere I looked were naked people kissing and punching. There wasn't enough rain to wash away all the blood and bodily fluids. And worst of all, I saw Richard Dawkins bite the head off a baby.
Or, the above is a complete lie. What really happened was a bunch of mild mannered people gathered together to just say "Hello world. We exist." A lot of great speakers gave speeches that resonated with the audience - preaching to the choir so to speak. There were lots of laughs, some terrific music, and Tim Minchin was not hurt (and he looks good in make-up to boot!) It was a group of like-minded people more or less agreeing with each other and telling the government we have a voice. We were not debating one issue or making any demands. We certainly weren't hoping to convert passers by. We just wanted to say hello and that we're here to stay. :)

1111
I didn't plan it, but when I signed up for the A-Z Challenge, I was entrant number 1111. I love that number. My brother, one of three, used to say "one-one-one-one" whenever he saw the time 11:11. It's something that stuck with me through the years and I say it now too. It means nothing, but it's one of those moments from childhood I really appreciate.
Also, how cool is it that there are going to be over 1000 A-Z bloggers this year? Since I will only be working for the first few days of April, I should have plenty of time to actually blog.
Anyone else pulling the old A-Z?

April is the Month for ME
So, big news in Libbyland. The hubby and I have met all of our savings goals and paid off the car so, as a reward, I'm leaving my job two months ahead of schedule! My last day will be in early April. Expect me back blogosphere!
I was already starting to make really good progress on the novel; I'm on chapter three of the rewrite now. I think I may have this draft done by June and ready for critique/edits by the end of June. So, 2012 will see my first novel released. This also means more time for short stories so expect the new collection soon (I know I keep saying this, but now I will actually have the time to do it.)
There may even be a few more Flash Fiction Fridays up my sleeve, we shall see.
In other news on the interwebs: if you saw my post last week you know I have a director buddy that's
trying to raise money for a short movie. They're at the half way mark and have released a new update. Since so many people that read this blog are writers, I thought you would get a kick out of their take on plot twists:
Half Way Hostage Update from Unreal Classy on Vimeo.
The project is a dark comedy and reminds me a bit of Fargo in tone. I've read the script and can't wait to see the final project. Here's a link:
WORST NIGHT TO GROW A PAIR
And here is one of my favorite memes:
Oh Willy Wonka/Gene Wilder. Everything sounds cooler when you say it.
How is your world?

Best Way to Raise Money for a Movie EVER!
One of my buddies from film school is producing a short movie. I've read the script several times and it's pretty frickin funny. A lot of people are using kickstarter these days to raise funds for projects and it's pretty difficult to make your appeal unique. Ty from Frankenhuffer Productions has done an exemplary job at standing out from the crowd. I give you two shorts the Frankenhuffer team has made as updates to their fundraising:
When they reached $1000
$1000.00 Check Up from Unreal Classy on Vimeo.
When they reached $5000
$5000.00 Check Up from Unreal Classy on Vimeo.
I'm giving them money because I want to see the short made and also, I want to see more of these videos!
In case you have a few spare pesos and want to see a badass short movie get made, here's the link to the kickstarter:

Also, if you needed one example of the awesomeness these guys provide, here you are:
