Resting

For the next two days, I will be doing some serious resting.  Sure, there will be cooking and lots of it, but mostly resting.  Glorious hours will be spent reading and watching movies.  A few trips to the gym will ensure that my muscles do not completely atrophy from inactivity.  And it feels delightful.

The past few weeks have been a whirlwind.  I've been churning out guest posts and interviews.  I've scheduled a giveaway on Goodreads and done a bit of work to publicize it (thanks everyone who has mentioned the giveaway on your blogs!).  I've been gearing up for Bizarlington, my WIP.

Things are feeling good right now.  The early reviews for Tough Girl have been good, so good that I'm kind of blown away.  I have finally adjusted to my new work schedule (I felt like the biggest wimp since it took so long) and looking forward to future projects.

I will leave you with a writing prompt, should you need one.  I found this gem at a flea market in Seattle and knew it had to be mine.  I give you, The Quiet Woman:

My plan is write a new piece of flash fiction and post it on the blog based on this prompt.  I'm going to try to have it done by January 4 to celebrate the new year.  Feel free to join me, if you dare.   ;)

  1. Your book looks great, Libby and I love the prompt. Not sure I'm going to have time for a flash fiction, but it's definitely food for thought. Have a good rest and a happy Christmas!

Never mind the quiet woman, I'm sending Merry Christmas wishes and the same for a Happy New Year from the Loud Man :)

  4. Resting is delightful. I hope you have a nice holiday. I've been resting too, but unfortunately I've also been sick. So resting while sick is no fun of course.

  8. Thinking it's almost January is giving me a panic attack... Hope you enjoyed the holiday. :)

I need to find some time to get started on my next WIP. I'm so consumed with meeting Backworlds #3's deadline though. Gah.
