WHOA!

Remember that time I said I wouldn't be posting much in July?  Apparently, I meant I would never post in July.  :)  Oops!  Here is what I have learned: the older I get, the harder it is to move.  Somehow, I and the hubby have been accumulating possessions.  Getting those objects from one state to the other was way harder than I remembered, but still not terribly hard.  Trust me, I'm not complaining.  We hired movers to load and unload our truck so I actually have very little to complain about.  Aaaand, our move did not break the bank!

I've been spending the last few weeks getting to know Raleigh.  Cool town with plenty to do and cheap rent, these are some of my favorite things.  I've also been job hunting which isn't as fun but it is something.  I've also been writing a ton and I cannot wait to be done with the new draft of Tough Girl.  I am taking my time and trying to make it the best I can but I want it out in the world!

So, I'm back to blogging but probably only two times a week and I may not be able to stop by as many blogs but I will definitely try!

How are you gorgeous world?

  1. Welcome back, Libby! Glad you all got moved and are settling in at last. BTW, why do we always move during the summer at the hottest possible times? Just once I'd like to move during October or April. :)

  3. Moving is the worst! We moved three weeks ago (and hired movers like you) but I still haven't found places to put all of my stuff. I had over 100 boxes, and am happy to say that only two remain. But there are still plenty of things on the floor, books to be sorted, etc. Good luck with your revisions!

    1. What? Only 2 out of 100? Give yourself a pat on the back!

  4. Welcome back! yeah, moving blows big time. I moved so many times as a child and an adult, I don't ever want to do it again! I was only in Raleigh once in the late 90s for a wedding but it was so beautiful. Glad you're back and so happy to hear you're working on Tough Girl. I really cannot wait to read it! Especially after all the A to Z teasers! I'm doing well. Busy with, you know, life and social media responsibilities! LOL.

  5. So glad you're done with the stress of the move! I didn't know it happened already. So glad to hear you're liking the new place. Any good spots to write in the new town?

  7. Good luck with job hunting and your draft! I moved to a new apartment last year, and like you, it made me realize how many possessions I have. I've started the process of cleaning out my apartment, and each day I try to throw out at least five things. It's hard to let go of some stuff, but seeing as how I live in a studio, it's kind of necessary. And it does feel good to figure out what I should throw out/recycle/give away and what's meaningful enough for me to hold onto.

    1. I love purging possessions. I am not comfortable with all that I own. I liked it better when I fit everything in one suitcase.

  8. Welcome back! Glad to hear that your move went well. I am always amazed at how much stuff I have each time I move. The good thing is each move causes me to get rid of some of my junk. It sounds like you moved to a great place. Good luck job hunting and writing. :)

  10. Taking a break is good! I'm definitely taking one in another month after this book is launched. I'll have no choice because I'll be flat on my back and won't be able to reach the computer keyboard. Glad you had time away. Glad you've returned.

  11. Blogger's taking forever on my comments so... Thanks Charlie! 200 yards sounds like the perfect move Misha! Clee, hope flat on your back isn't from a huge surgery. Good luck either way!
