Brief Hiatus Update

Hey guys!  I am still officially on hiatus BUT, I've seen other bloggers push a brief hiatus up to a year.  I wanted to let you know that I will be back in December. 

There will be some changes - probably I'll have to cancel Flash Fiction Friday for a while.  I loved it, but I just don't have the time to dedicate to it right now.  Busy busy bee at the moment.

I am busy working on the novel and developing an idea for a new play.  I've also been submitting my plays out into the world.    I've been reading a ton as well.

So, to recap - I will be back in December.  I know I haven't left many comments on your blogs recently, that will resume in December as well.  See you then!

A Brief Hiatus

I've spent a lot of time over the past week revising my novel, TOUGH GIRL.  What have I learned?  That as it stands, it's actually pretty awful.  In fact, the last few chapters were so bad that after I read them today, I went to bed and hid under the covers.  I have a very mature response to stress.  I then yelled out, "Why do I bother to write!?"  Then I slept.

I'm now much less stressed.   A good nap will do that.  I stayed in bed for a while and had a good think though.  I need to spend some time really redeveloping the novel.  I cannot bear to release something that I'm not proud of.  I'd rather not write at all if all I can do is write badly.

In order to concentrate on my novel, I'm declaring November hiatus month.  I'm hoping to be back to blogging in December but it depends on how the novel stands at the end of November.  Wish me luck and I hope to see you soon!
